Ann Payne, MSEd., LPC

Ann is a Licensed Professional Counselor who believes in the power of empathy, warmth and acceptance. She works with her clients to help find their unique strengths and inner voice.

Ann uses a multi-dimensional approach, working to incorporate medical professionals, dietitians, school and family support systems. In the counseling process, Ann uses evidence-based, holistic treatment and prioritizes the therapeutic relationship and creating a safe place for her clients. Ann works to get to know her clients in order tailor counseling to the individual and their needs.

Ann holds a Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of Dayton and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from The Ohio State University. She began her career in nonprofit work, where she worked with the community and gained insight into the importance of mental health. Her experience led to a desire to help others in a more direct way.

Ann provides counseling services to individuals of all ages and families. She specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of eating disorders but also has experience working with people who are dealing with relationship issues, behavioral problems, or mood disorders (e.g., anxiety, depression). Because she is pursuing a higher level of licensure, Ann is currently receiving supervision from Tasha Boyer, LPCC-S.

Outside of work, Ann enjoys spending time with her family and friends, walking her dog, spending time outside (when Ohio weather permits) and traveling.
