Jodi Attar, MA, MFT

Jodi is a Marriage and Family Therapist who is passionate about helping individuals, couples, and families find new ways of relating that ultimately foster increased joy and intimacy in their relationships.

Jodi believes that we all have the capacity to grow towards becoming better versions of ourselves. She works collaboratively and systemically with individuals, couples, and families to help them achieve their desired goals for treatment. She places great emphasis on developing a strong therapeutic relationship with her clients, while also valuing the inherent ability that each person has to work towards individual growth and change. She utilizes a variety of interventions in working with clients, viewing treatment through a systemic lens, utilizing experiential and structural therapy.

For families in distress, it is extremely common to feel “stuck” in the same patterns of behavior. Similarly for couples, it can feel like you have the same arguments over and over again. While these feelings of being “stuck” can be highly stressful, there is hope.

Life is hard sometimes and can be extremely difficult to navigate. This is especially true when we are not at our best, either in our intimate relationships or in our families. Jodi is skilled at helping you and your loved ones find more joy in life and more intimacy in your most important relationships.

Jodi is licensed by the Counselor, Social Worker, and Marriage and Family Therapy Board as a Marriage and Family Therapist. Her clinical experience is a product of her training at The Ohio State University, Ohio Guidestone, and Nationwide Children’s Hospital, when she predominantly worked with adolescents struggling with suicidal ideation and mood disorders, such as depression and anxiety. Because she is pursuing a higher level of licensure, Jodi is currently receiving supervision from Katie Kovacs, LPCC-S, and Margaret Knerr, IMFT-S.

In her spare time, Jodi enjoys reading, cooking, yoga, running, and spending time with her family and close friends.
