Kelsey is a registered dietitian (RD) licensed in the state of Ohio who believes in the power of nutrition and how it plays into our body, mind, and spirit. She believes that all foods fit, breaking popular diet myths and striving to motivate, encourage and empower everyone she works with.
Kelsey has experience working with both children and adults, specializing in eating disorders (Anorexia Nervosa, Bulimia Nervosa, OSFED, ARFID, etc.). She also has experience in providing medical nutrition therapy to individuals suffering from diabetes, Poly-cystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS), cardiovascular disease and more. Kelsey does not promote weight loss, but instead encourages her clients to nourish their body aside from the pressure of society.
Kelsey has been a practicing RD for 5 years, but new to the Columbus-Metropolitan area. She received her Bachelors of Health Science from West Chester University of Pennsylvania and completed her 1200 hours supervised practice/dietetic internship at La Salle University of Philadelphia, PA. Kelsey has worked at two eating disorder treatment facilities, The Renfrew Center and Monte Nido & Affiliates. She has worked in private practice since 2016 and has a true passion for nutrition counseling.
Kelsey uses Motivational Interviewing, DBT (Dialectical Behavioral Therapy), CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy), as well as health coaching in her counseling. She strives to meet the client where they are, setting attainable goals and building on them as they proceed through the counseling process. Kelsey provides a judgement-free, empathetic, safe-space for her clients to discuss their relationship to food and their body. Kelsey’s true goal is for her clients’ confidence to grow while also knowing how to adequately nourishing them.
Kelsey can help her clients with meal planning, grocery shopping, planning and implementing food exposures, understanding their nutritional needs, supporting family members, collaborating with other members of the client’s treatment team, and more.
In Kelsey’s free time, she enjoys spending time with her dog, Monkey, spending time with family, hiking, cooking and baking.
