While always having an interest in helping others and mental health, Monika decided to become a counselor after adopting two children of her own. As research became a huge part of her life as she tried to understand the struggles her adopted children were experiencing, she decided to pursue a counseling degree to help her family and others. Outside of counseling, Monika loves to garden, cook, read, spend time with family, and complete home projects.
Monika holds a Master’s degree from Liberty University and completed part of her internship with Kovacs Counseling while in graduate school. Monika describes her treatment approach as eclectic and person-centered.
Monika is connected with the Central Ohio adoption community.
